Please consider submitting this article to the Active Learning Blog Carnival, a monthly journal about teaching. This is a great example of reflecting on your teaching. At the end of each monthly journal, there is a link to submit for next month.

I was really not expecting to see mention of Kenneth Sams on there! Glad y'all enjoyed his talk - I think classical archaeologists tend to be pretty good at giving people some context, but then, I'm biased. ;)

Also, after a lot of coaching from Katie, I now have it memorized that Atatürk died on November 10, 1938, at 9:05 AM. Why I have this memorized, I don't know.

I miss you two!

Thank you for leading such a wonderful trip for the students! The blogs and the pictures have been wonderful! From these, their enthusiasm definitely shines through. They seem to have embraced all the possibilities of their time in Turkey. And through them, of course, I have learned an incredible amount of history and geography! I can't wait to hear and see more details when Kevin gets home!
Again, thanks,
Chris, Kevin's mom

Hi Sarah,

Not sure if your blog is old, but I'm scouring the Internet for help in setting up a private educational* tour of Istanbul's main sights. We're a family of four from San Francisco who will be in the city for only one day on June 29. Any help or recommendations would be greatly* appreciated.

Thank you,
Sumi
